i know a guy named matthew john tuttle. as of today, he is 19 years old. it's his last year as a teenager. i would have written this blog earlier, but there was so much chaos and palooza going on in efforts of trying to surprise him @ midnight, so i didn't get the chance to. but that's okay because matthew john tuttle rocks.
i don't really call him matthew john tuttle...all the time. i usually call him tuttle. i like calling him tuttle. it's unique, which describes him perfectly. tuttle is a unique guy. tuttle is in the process of educating me about the american culture i am a part of and yet barely know anything about. i live in a deep hole under a rock, but am making my way up to the light, all thanks to tuttle. we have started watching the tv show "my so-called life" together sometimes. i am starting to like it a lot more.
i am glad i have gotten to know tuttle a lot more over this past semester, mainly because he has been coming over to visit. it's fun talking with tuttle and laughing with him about something karen says. he is also a good listener.
something i admired about tuttle from the very beginning was his genuine gentleman qualities. it's not everyday where you see a guy insist on walking you home so you wouldn't go by yourself just so you'd stay safe, or give every girl he knows a hershey's chocolate bar on valentine's day, or give sincere compliments every once in a while (not too much or we would all think tuttle was creepy, but he's not). you can tell that tuttle appreciates the ladies in his life.
tuttle and i have also had many scuffles over this semester. we are not perfect people, and we are very different in a myriad of ways, so we know scuffles are bound to happen. but i know that it's the growing friendships that can get past those scuffles and move forward. tuttle and i have done that and that makes me glad :]
yay today is tuttle's birthday!
tuttle is a good friend of mine. this particular blog is dedicated to him. i appreciate tuttle more than he knows and am glad that God brough him into my life. i have learned a lot from him and am excited to see what else i will learn from him.
i am proud to celebrate his birthday with him.
i am proud to be tuttle's sister-in-Christ and wouldn't choose to be any less.
happy birthday, tuttle!
